World Missions Plus...Sharing hope, one heart at at time!
Mission Statement: To assist Christ's church by leading & hosting small teams and individuals on short term evangelical mission trips to come along side underprivileged and hurting people. We serve the local people through "Help Without Hurting" (When Helping Hurts by Brian Fikkert and Steve Corbett, 2009) mindset: a hand up to better help themselves, for the greater purpose of spreading the gosple of Jesus Christ, with continued discipleship from local ministries.
New Mission! Our family business, Davidson Homes, is now assisting churches and ministries in building projects! From additions to completely new buildings, Davidson Homes works in partnership with World Missions Plus to assist churches and ministries in their projects at a SUBSTANTIAL cost savings!
Mission Trips: We primarily focus on Medical Mission trips and those focused on the fight against Human Trafficking. We usually do one or two week trips, depending on location. Many of our trips are to Africa and Guatemala. We also lead construction trips, VBS, and any other type of evangelical mission trip you or your church can imagine.
We enjoy leading interdenominational Christian groups on international mission trips. We can accommodate or host your group.
"Help Without Hurting" mindset: We believe that well intentioned people performing short term mission work (domestic and international) often unintentionally hurt the very people they are trying to help. With the purist motivations, good people offer relief or hand outs where the recipients really need support to help themselves. We strive to come along side people in poverty, and help them develop their approach to help themselves. We believe "poverty" encompasses much more than a lack of financial resources. We believe we are ALL poor in some regard (i.e.: relationship poverty, poverty of education, spiritual poverty, etc.). This is the very reason so many people who go on short-term mission trips state they "gained so much more than they gave!"
